I"m home for Thanksgiving Break. I got home last night around 7:30 and will be here until Sunday sometime. Unless of course I decided to take a random road trip to Chatt and see my friends there... who knows, I might. :) It's good to be home. I brought my Wii home so we can play some Wii tennis!!! I also brought home homework so at least I have the intention of doing it. ;) Chels and I are going to see Twilight tonight, I'm going to try and work either Friday or Saturday, and the other day I'm going to go see James Bond with a friend. I'm ready for some good Thanksgiving foods. Technically, I already had one meal... our Phi Mu alums cooked Thanksgiving for us last Sunday and it was amazing! Not as good as home, but still... it was very very very good. :-D
Classes have been going well. I can't believe the semester is almost over. Only a week and a half left of classes when I get back. I had a a ton of fun last weekend. Amanda, Kellie, and I all went over to Sig Ep for Apocalypse Now, the party on Friday night. It was camo themed, so we all put on some cute camo and hot pink accents and went over. We had a blast. We kind of all did our own thing, and hung together at the same time. We even saw some of our other sisters over there becuase it was an advertised party. Kellie and I went downstairs when it became open and had fun hanging out in the 4-men. :) One of the brothers got so drunk on Friday he passed out on the pool table downstairs with a bar stool and got written on... It was really funny because before that he stole a ladder from another room and tried to sell roofs to a few people.
Saturday I went to the basketball game, Amanda worked at a Wine and Dessert bar and after we watched Casino Royale in a friend's room. :) Sunday was work for me and Thanksgiving dinner that night. Then i went over to Sig Ep to study. Then of course was the short week... yay short weeks.
So that's about all for me. Happy Birthda Aunt Sara... I miss you tons and so do many others here.

Yay cold weather!
So I love the cold weather. It's getting quite cold here. Today is the warmest it's been in about 2 weeks and the high today is 48. I have a friend from Normal, Illinois who is like, this isn't cold, and has yet to wear pants. Every time i see him he has shorts on. Last night it was 28 degrees outside and we walked over to the volleyball game together, and i was like, you do realize it's below freezing... that usually constitutes time to wear pants, and he's like, no use in putting on pants until it snows. Ummm... ok, w/e.
So I have Bronchitis. I've been been hacking up a lung for about 2 months now. I called into work on Sunday because I had to write a paper, and i used my coughing as an excuse. My boss told me to bring in a doctor's note (are in junior high?). So I went to the health center on monday, and they made an appt w/ the doctor here for wednesday. So i went today and he was like, yup, you have bronchitis... good job. So yay me for bronchitis.
Also, it's volleyball IM season!!! I'm playing on two teams, Phi Mu (women's) and Trojans (Co-ed). My Co-ed team rocks, we've won both games so far. I play with Chris, my ex, and a couple of my friends from Harlaxton. My Phi Mu team is not quite so good. Like 5 of us have played before, which in my mind would make us pretty good, but our goal is to get it over the net... none of this pass, set, hit stuff, which tends to be our downfall. That and we're not so good at working as a team because we have two members who like to be ball hogs and they're not good enough to be ball hogs, not even close.
On the academic front, it's been crazy. Yesterday I had a 6 page paper or WWII POWs due and amedia contacts list with 25 media contacts on it. I researched for the paper all last week, but my weekend was insane. Friday was Work, Saturday was Initiation, fmaily dinner, and homecoming, Sunday was supposed to be work, then exec meeting, then formal meeting with elections, and elections take about 5 hours on avg. I tried to work on my paper Saturday night, but my brain was not into working on it. Sunday i started working on it at 11:30, but nothing wsa coming to my mind, so i wrote an outline, got done with the outline about 6, and then went to formal meeting until 11:30 (yay elections). Amanda and I went out for a midnight snack afterwards so about 12:30 i got back and worked on my paper. About 5 am I finally got done and went to bed. got up at 8 for class, monday I spent the day working on my media contacts list, headlines, and audio homework. I had volleyball that night, and after i had a text msg from my friend stephanie. Her mom wsa in the hospital with chest pains, so i went over and gave her some company and we watched forrest gump. So about 1:30 i went back to working on it, and about 5:30 I went to bed. Got up at 9:30 so i could finish wokring on it, and then skipped lunch to finish it and was two minutes late to class because the printer i was using on campus was out of paper.
Last night was my just relax/sleep night. I went bowling with m firend luke and bowled a 78... woot! (sad thing is, that's with 2 strikes). Then i had volleyball. We lost. I was going to go to bed around 11 last night, but Luke asked if i wanted to watch a movie, so I was like sure, and so he came over, and finally, about 2, I went to bed. Honestly, I'm surprised I lasted that long though. Oh the life of a college student. Tonight is work, then volleyballat 10:15 if i get off in time, then bed.

Relaxing/Rejuvenating Weekend
Just warning y'all... this post jumps around.
So on Friday I had a mental break down, again. I was crying in class. I went to talk to a counselor about it, and we just kinda talked about everything going on right now. Especially the fact that I'm a senior (which scares the crap out of me). I told her that I registered for classes for the last time on Monday, and that was sad. It's kind of hitting me, everything I'm doing is for the last time. Last night was the last time I will particiapte in Rock for Riley... I don't know if I'm ok with that. It's weird. Anyways. I still wasn't feeling well so I called my friend Steph and we went and grabbed some lunch. After that I went to class with her b/c I know the teacher and he didn't care. After that we went to Wal-mart, and then it was time for work. I came home and got ready, and just started crying. I couldn't stop. My roommate, Amanda was like, ummm... you're not going to work today, so i called in sick. I called Steph and told her I wasn't going in and she came over.
We decided to take this dog she was looking after for a walk. We walked for like an hour. It was nice. When we got back I had dinner, which to be perfectly honest was the first time I'd actually felt like eating anything all week. Amanda came back from dinner and invited Steph and i to SCF, so we all went and spent like an hour and a half there. Afterwards we were like, let's go crash a high school football game just b/c we can. We drove around for like a half hour before realizing that it was November, and most high school seasons were over. We decided that we would run by the dollar theater and see what was playing. There was a movie, "Burn After Reading" that we all kinda wanted to see, and it started at 9:30 (it was 9:25) so it was perfect. We went in and got our seats and the movie started. For teh next two hours all three of us were staying at the screen going... "what is going on?" but laughing so hard, b/c it was hilarious! Afterwards we were like, that was amazing! We drove back to school, and Steph got her car and went home. At this point, it was about 11:30.
Amanda is in her Senior Sem class right now, which means she's in the middle of writing her thesis, which is due Monday at 5, just in case you were wondering, :). She had been working on it all day pretty much,a dn she was going to work on it again, but that movie ave us this great idea. We decided we would throw a party for all of our firends, sometime this semester, and watch that movie, just b/c it's so funny. We decided we needed to go tell some of our friends at Sig Ep, so at 11:30, we were like, ok let's go, but we won't stay long. Amanda wanted to get up and work on her Thesis, and i was going to get up and work on other homework. We went over and were talking ot people. We were dancing, and having a good time. We were just hanging out. The last 45 minutes we were just sitting in Cedric's room talking. It was the best night ever, and it made me feel so much better. We ended up leaving around 2. :) Ooops.
Saturday, Amanda was going to get up at 9 and i was going to get up at 10. I got up at 10, and she wasn't up yet. She got up when she heard me up though. I grabbed a shower, and turned on Rookie of the Year. Amanda decided to watch the movie with me, so it was a good time. Then I had a wedding to go to. Phi Mu's chapter advior, Shelly McFall (also the head coach of the softball team i helped with last year) got married. It was a beautiful ceremony. Shelly looked gorgeous, and my favorite part was her shoe choice... softball cleats. :) I am totally going to do that! After the weddign was the reception where I pretty uch scarfed down my meal in 15 minutes because I had to drive back to campus for Rock 4 Riley.
For those of you who don't know, my sorority's philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network, the money we raise goes to a local hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, up in Indy. We hold two events a year. In the Spring it's UEDM (University of Evansville Dance Marathon) and all night party essentially. We play games, have bands, crafts, etc... In the fall, we do my favorite, Rock 4 Riley. R4R is a lip synching contest. Some themes we have done in the past include, TV theme songs, Disney, and 90s. This year was "A Night at the Movies: A Pink Carpet Affair" (b/c our colors are rose and white). I love R4R b/c it is so hilarious. This year we had 8 teams, and 5 advanced to the final round. My favorite was Sig Ep, and I'm not just syaing that. They were the best. They did "Oh Maria" from Sister Act. Imagine 15 guys dressed up in hand made black cloth held together with staples and plain t-shirts on their heads. It was hilaroius. They were jumping around, and basically they're dance was amazing. they came in second. Our Phi class came in first in the crowd pleaser award though. that was exciting. After that, we went and watched the last 5 minutes of the UE soccer game with the entire Sig Ep chapter, but the thing was, anytime they would shift their weight, the bleacher we were stnading on would shift too, and Amanda and i were in heels, and so we almost fell liek 5 times.
We came back and Amanda went back to work on her Thesis. I asked if we were going to go out that night and she said she didn't know. About 12:30 I asked if i was putting on jeans or pjs and she said jeans. We both agreed that we weren't going to stay past 1:30 b/c she needed to get up and work on her thesis and i had to go to work. As soon as we walked in the door though one of my guy friends (who said he wasn't drink any mor euntil next semester) came up to us drunk, and I mean completely trashed. So we walked him back to his room where he continued his search for green shorts and a green shirt. We went upstairs. We hung out and were talking to people, and then we ran into my friend again, and I pretty much spent the next hour and a half or so hanign out with him to make sure he didn't do anything too stupid.
Finally, about 2, we got him to his room where he passed out on his couch. His roomates closed up the room and me and Amanda stayed to talk to one of our friends who was in there. Within the next hour, one of the brothers, a very very tall freshman (think Chris, my ex) pretty much broke the door down three times and came in yelling for his buddy who was passed out on the couch. Even with three of us we could barely get him out. Around 3, we went upstairs to get our jacket where we ran into some more friends and started talking again. About 4, we got kicked out of the third room b/c they wanted to go to bed, and Amanda and I decided we should go home. So we finally got home aroun 4:30 and were in bed by 5. She woke up at 9 to continue work on her Thesis, and I got up at 10 to head to work.
Today i went to work, and we were actually busy. Only made $35 though, but it's a Sunday morning. Oh well. Then I had meetings tonight, and after that I finally went to the library to check out some books for my paper comparing and contrasting concentration camps in WWII, which is due a week from tuesday. I didn't open a single one tonight though. I did however waste 2 hours on facebook and get my 6 cover letters done, rewrite an article, and get a study guide done. Tomorrow it's back to class after a pretty relaxing/rejuvenating weekend. I'm feeling much better than i did on Friday. I'm still not 100% but I'm doing better. Which is good. :)

Happy Halloween!!!
I hope everyone had a good one. I did. it was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday, and so in the afternoon, i went outside and enjoyed it. Stephanie stopped by and we chatted for a while. I had to go to work that night, so I went back home and got changed for work. We got to wear our costumes last night, so I dressed up in my referee and made it a little demure for work. I think that costume is good luck at work. I made $67 last night which is the most I have ever made in 2-top Heaven, and I think I made more than most of the other servers. Go me. :) Then I came home and got a little sexier, and Amanda, her friend Brook, and I all went over to Sig Ep for their Halloween party, which was actually their date party, go figure. I had a lot of fun last night. I drank a little too much, and so Amanda had to help me home, but it was still a good time.
Today is laundry/clean my room day! Yay! This afternoon is the Sig Ep pledge auction, and I'm going to go buy my friend. It should be a fun time. Then tonight is Semi-Formal. I'm really excited. It'll be a lot of fun. Hope everyone had a good day yesterday and has a good weekend.
