So last night was the Rascal Flatts concert! It was absolutely amazing!!! Amanda and I left about 3 central time and got to Louisville around 6 eastern time. The concert started at 8, so we decided to meet one of our alum sorority sisters for dinner. We were going to meet her at the Hard Rock Cafe, and so we found somewhere to park and walked down to the Hard Rock Cafe. When we got to the top of the street there was people standing there handing out wristbands, and we were like, ummm... what now. Turns out the Ryder Cup is in town and the had blocked off that street (which is similar to Beale, just shorter) and you had to buy a $5 Ryder's cup pin to get onto the street. We were like... umm.. that's ok. So we found another resturaunt, The Old Saghetti Factory, and met Shelley there. So we had a quick dinner, and briefly caught up, and then Amanda and I had to continue onto the concert.
So we got to the concert, which was at the Expo center, and immediately hit major traffic getting in, but we got in pretty quickly considering, and we found a spot to park, and we got into Freedom Hall without very much trouble at all. We were sitting on the upper level not straight back, but kind of in a corner. Before we went to our seats though,w ewent to the bathroom, in which there was already a line out the door for. Go figure. So we found our seats and there were girls sitting in them, so we got the usher to take care of it for us, and basically as soon as we sat down the concert started (we timed it good).
First up was Taylor Swift, and she played for about 45 minutes, she played all her hits. That was the main person Amanda came for. The stage was amazing... There was the main stage, and then it came out on the sides and created a walkway about 50 feet from the main stage so the band could walk around, and in side that walkway area fans were sitting... sooo jealous, fyi. Anyways, then there was about a hlaf hour intermission while the got the Rascal Flatts stage set up. Amanda and I went to go get some t-shirts before the smalls were all sold out. That was exciting.
Anyways we came back and waited for the concert to begin, and then they did, and it was sooo cool. Words cannot even describe. For example the entrance was ladden with fireworks and stirs coming down from teh ceiling where they were. It was amazing. That's all I can say about it. They played for about an hour and a half, so the concert was done around 11 eastern time. Then the fun part came fo getting out of the parking lot, which took a half hour, but it gave us time to get a hold of another sister living in Louisville, who never answers her phone.
We got a hold of Mel, and said lets go to Starbucks and chill, but the Starbucks we orginially were looking for didn't exist and so we had one of our friends on the phone giving us directions to another one, which we found, but it was closed. So we met her in the Kroger parking lot behind the Starbucks. But it was a little cold, and Amanda had to go to the bathroom, so we decided to go to a Denny's we had passed earlier. So we made our way to the Denny's and each had really random things. I had some bacon, toast, and a slice of pumpkin pie with apple juice. Amanda had some really really really cheesy cheese fries and some sort of mago-cherry drink. Mel had an oreo milkshake. We had a blast catching up. We were there for aout an hour just talking. Our server kept giving us weird looks b/c we'd ordered such strange things, but we had fun with him. We decided that the Denny's in the crrepy part of Louisville, where we were, will forever be a commerative spot. :)
Then Amanda and I drove home and got back around 2:30. We both had class in the morning, so we pretty much passed out as soon as we got back. So that was my amazing night, and today I start back at Texas Roadhouse up here. Joy to me, but roommate night is tonigth and we're going ot go see The Women. :) Hope everyone had a good week and A good weekend.
